Sokonami is a regional-first logistics platform that enables users in Africa to shop from Chinese e-commerce stores and have their goods shipped through a managed forwarding system—similar to MyUS.com. Built with trust, transparency, and tracking, it transforms international e-commerce from a friction-filled experience into a simplified, secure, and trackable journey.
The Challenge
For African consumers and SMEs, shopping directly from Chinese platforms like 1688, Taobao, or Alibaba is often limited by:
- No local delivery address in China
- Complex customs processes and documentation
- Inability to track packages from warehouse to doorstep
- Currency issues, hidden fees, and zero price transparency
- No centralized shipment tracking or consolidation options
Sokonami aimed to eliminate these barriers—and called on The Chain to engineer a digital platform that would bridge two continents through clarity and convenience.
